We also share information about how our site is used with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners. All of these partners are working in accordance with GDPR regulations, protecting your data and ensuring it is not used for any other purpose.

Analytics - website:
We use Google analytics to track how people use the Polarworld website. All IP addresses are anonymised so we are unable to identify how you as an individual use our website via these tools - instead, we are able to view general reports that allow us to understand how people typically find and use our website.
We have installed the Facebook pixel (see cookies below) on this website so that we are able to track purchases and engagement with our Facebook adverts.
You can find out how to opt out of targeted advertising on Facebook here. If you would like to opt-out of google analytics tracking altogether, you can set your browser to do so: find out how to do that here.
Analytics - mailing list:
Mailchimp provide us with data about how our subscribers engage with our Newletter. They place single pixel gifs, also known as web beacons, in the emails that they send on our behalf. They describe these as follows: "These are tiny graphic files that contain unique identifiers that enable us and our users to recognize when their subscribers have opened an email or clicked certain links. These technologies record each subscribers email address, IP address, date, and time associated with each open and click for a campaign." Mailchimp use this data to create reports for us about how our emails were received and any actions taken by subscribers.
If you wish to avoid cookies, your internet browser may provide the means to disallow these. Doing so may affect your experience of the functionality of the Polarworld website.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
